Description of Work/Assignment: For our final project in American Literature, we had to pick two pieces of literature to compare and find similar themes in, and showcase those similarities through a video, slideshow, podcast, et cetera. For extra credit, we could also form a group with three other classmates and find a time to discuss the two writings and their shared themes over Zoom. This extra credit assignment addresses Interpersonal Skills, since I had to reach out to my classmates, coordinate a time to meet, and then discuss the readings as a group. I am most proud of the fact that I took initiative and reached out to my group members to find a time. This improved my Interpersonal Skills because I not only had to work with a group, but also communicate in order to form that group. The most difficult part of this assignment was finding a time that worked for everyone, since everyone has very busy schedules. If I could redo this assignment, I would reach out earlier so that we would have more time to meet and discuss. This relates to what I've done in the past because I've had to do many Zoom discussions before, and by participating in this one, I was able to keep that skill fresh in case I need to meet over Zoom for school again in the future.
