Description of Work/Assignment: We had to design a logo for a fictional educational math website that we are starting. The logo had to include several different types of lines and line relationships.
Which 21st Century Skill do you feel this assignment addresses, and why? I used Self Direction because I had to set aside my own time to get this done without a teacher watching me and keeping me on task.
What are you most proud of from this assignment, and why? I'm most proud of how I incorporated a plane (one of the requirements) into the project by making it the "t" in "math".
How did you develop and/or improve upon your 21st Century Skill with this assignment? I improved on my Self Direction Skills because I wasn't in a classroom at any time during this assignment, so staying on task was even harder.
What was most difficult about completing this task? The most difficult part of this assignment was figuring out how to incorporate some harder shapes like planes and obtuse angles, since those don't normally show up in letters.
How could you improve this work? If you could start over, what would you do different? If I could start over, I would use pen instead of pencil because pencil made it look a bit messy.
How does this relate to what you have learned in the past? This relates to what I've learned in the past because I've learned about a lot of the different types of lines and shapes we had to include in past grades.
How can you apply this to future learning? I can apply this to future learning because the lines and shapes I had to include are the basis of geometry, and therefore, the basis of everything I'll learn in math from now on.
